The Archives are responsible for managing the institutional records of CNA-Q and preserving the collective memory and history of the College. We advise on the management and disposal of College records and acquire, preserve and make available any historical items.
The CNA-Q Archives are kept in a temperature-controlled vault with 44 rows of movable shelving units. We house a variety of materials including:
· Architectural plans
· Meeting minutes
· Marketing memorabilia
· Newspaper clippings
· Student records
· Course syllabi and program development records
· Academic calendars
· Student and college newsletters
· Accreditation documents
· Audio-visual materials (DVDs, VHS)
In addition to our archival holdings, we also store semi-active records for departments who regularly require additional storage space such as Facilities, Finance, and the Registrar’s Office. If you have excess paper files and want to make space in your office, contact us to discuss storing them in the archives vault or to review retention policies for shredding.
