Study rooms are provided for the use of CNA-Q students only to engage in quiet study activities. Please respect our guidelines:
Bookings: Rooms are booked online and on a "first come, first serve" basis.
Cancellations if late: If you are 10 minutes late, your booking will be cancelled, and the room made available to others.
Maximum times: Individual study rooms can be booked for a maximum of 3 hours per day. Group study rooms can be booked for a maximum of 2 hours per day. Any other use is subject to approval from library staff.
Maximum students: Individual study rooms are reserved for a maximum of 2 students. Group study rooms are for larger groups of 3–6 students. Any other use is subject to approval from library staff.
ID card required: All users must provide their student ID cards to library staff to obtain a key. For group study rooms, at least 3 cards must be presented at time of booking. If a group does not sign in all users, they will be asked to leave.
Type of use: Study rooms are for studying. Socializing in study rooms is not permitted. Rooms are not to be used for regular scheduled classes or tutoring sessions.
Food and drink: Food is not permitted. ONLY covered water is allowed. If you break this rule, the library staff will ask you to leave.
Noise: All users must maintain an appropriate noise level. If you disturb the silence and quiet studying in the library, you will be asked to leave.
Windows and lights: Study room windows cannot be covered and lights must remain on at all times.
Condition after use: Rooms must be left in a clean condition.
Abandonment of belongings: Items left for longer than 15 minutes will be removed and will result in cancellation of booking.
Leaving the room: Leaving study rooms longer than 15 minutes will result in cancellation of booking.
Respect: All users must respect the culture and traditions of Qatar and behave accordingly.
Code of Conduct: Users must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct.
Library staff may (temporarily or permanently) suspend study room use privileges for students who do not follow the above rules.
